Make the Most of Your Time at Black Hat USA 2024

Published July 30, 2024 by Ronit Wolf

The Zero Networks team is thrilled to be a Gold Plus sponsor at this year’s Black Hat USA conference in Las Vegas August 3-8th. We hope you'll visit our booth # 2060 during business hall days (August 7th and 8Th) to meet some of our zeroes, shake hands with our mystery guests, take some fun giveaways, and hopefully sit through some of our booth talks (more on that below).

To make the best use of your time with us, we encourage you to book a 1:1 meeting with our technical team to get a customized demo and a more personalized conversation tailored to your company and its specific security needs.

If you have a moment before you head out of our booth, swing by our "Zero Trust, Zero Bullsh*t" photo booth wall. Snap a memorable pic, and you could walk away with a $500 Amazon gift card.

Booth Talks

Take a break from the bustling show floor and join us for a 20-minute informative session in our open theatre. Sit back, relax, and learn something new from one of our experts!

The 4 distinct talks will be rotating, starting at the top of the hour and half hour marks throughout the day.

1. Securing Access: Simplified Segmentation for Modern Security

Join our team of Customer Engineers for a quick, technical dive into Zero Networks' innovative approach to microsegmentation and identity-driven security. Learn how our solution seamlessly integrates with your infrastructure to protect against lateral movement and unauthorized access and prepare to wave goodbye to ransomware for good. This talk will include a shortened demo reviewing:

  • Rule overview and creation
  • Just-in-time MFA
  • Real-time blocking

2. Welcome to the Zero Trust, Zero Bullsh*t Zone

Learn what our Zero Trust, Zero Bullsh*t Zone is all about.

Vendor sprawl in cybersecurity is uniquely overwhelming. There is an ocean of vendors, each offering a tool for every tactic, technique, or procedure along the MITRE ATT&CK framework—and more. Managing numerous tools and vendors is challenging, especially when balancing budget and resource constraints while prioritizing the best steps to keep your organization secure. The vendor landscape is confusing and noisy, and many market claims don't materialize.

Here's the hard truth: There's no silver bullet solution, no single vendor that can slay every dragon and secure every back door. You're left to cobble together solutions informed by your peers and unique network environment.

But here's where we plant our flag: Cybersecurity vendors have an obligation to partner with the customers they serve to combat the most critical, existential threats to civilization.

That's why our rallying cry is "Zero Trust, Zero Bullsh*t." We understand that every vendor at Black Hat is vying for the most finite resource you have as a security leader: time. Our mission is to cut the bullshit and provide a real zero trust easy button for network security.

3. LDAP Firewall

Looking to protect your Domain Controllers, control access to your Active Directory schema, and block LDAP-based attacks such as BloodHound, Targeted Kerberoasting, and Shadow Credentials? Then you’ll be at the right place! Our open-source tool, the LDAP Firewall, lets you do just that. During this talk, our Zero Labs researchers Sagie Dulce and Dekel Paz will demonstrate how to use the tool and tailor it to your unique environment.

4. Zero Networks: Why first-timers think it's all BS

We’ve heard it before, and we’ll continue to hear it again: “It sounds too good to be true.”

Join Dan Fishel, VP of Business Development & Operations, to learn how Zero Networks solves the root causes of cyber attacks – overly open networks and excessive logon permissions - like no other vendor does!

With agentless, automated segmentation, Zero restricts user and asset access based on operational needs, enhancing security and delivering considerable cost savings compared to legacy solutions. Through case studies and demonstrations, Dan will dispel misconceptions and showcase how Zero Networks provides a user-friendly and robust security solution that meets the evolving demands of modern cybersecurity.

Arsenal Presentation

Zero Labs’ Sagie Dulce and Dekel Paz will be taking over Black Hat’s Arsenal stage on Thursday, August 8th, from 12:40 – 1:50pm PT to talk about our LDAP firewall, an open-source tool for Windows servers that lets you audit and restrict incoming LDAP requests. Its primary use cases are to protect Domain Controllers, block LDAP-based attacks (such as BloodHound and sAMAccountName spoofing), and tightly control access to the Active Directory schema.
